Excerpt:

"I glanced at the night sky as I dragged my left leg across the parking lot to the emergency room. It was a brilliant diamond-studded night, the kind that makes you sad because you know summer is fading. Little did I know it would be the last time I would gaze at the stars."

Carmen-Aggra-Deedy"I have known and admired Fiona Page for many years, and it would follow that I knew her story. How silly to think any of us can know another person’s story, until she, or he, is prepared to truly tell it. My Nightlife is 24 / 7––a candid, unpretentious, and engrossing memoir––allows the reader an unobstructed glimpse into the life of a remarkable woman, who must live in darkness, yet refuses to yield to the dark. Loved it." (Carmen Aggra Deedy – an award-winning author of 28 children’s books with Peachtree Publishing)

This book (My Nightlife Is 24/7) provides an excellent insight into the personal life of a school teacher who tragically lost her eyesight in mid-life. It contains a very powerful message of encouragement for both visually impaired and sighted people. The book details the pitfalls and successes the author encountered as she adjusted to a new life without vision. Once you start reading this book you will not be able to put it down. (Bascombe Hughes)

Fiona writes like a seasoned author, giving both detail and thought provoking stories of her life. Some of the things made me laugh out loud, others brought smiles. I must admit that I wept openly as I explored her medical history and how she lost her eyesight. Before retirement I had worked 34 years with an Opthalmologist and her story was certainly the most unique and disturbing one I have heard about. Her’s is truly a story of perserverance and survival. This is a good read for any age. (Magamc from Amazon.com)

Once I started reading this book (My Nightlife Is 24/7), I could not put it down. The very thought of being a sighted person for over 40 years and then suddenly becoming blind is such a tragedy. I was very interested in finding out how Fiona would deal with every day living skills and life in general after loosing her sight. One would think it must be a nightmare!! I was amazed to find out that Fiona has such a fantastic attitude considering the hand she was dealt. I do believe that she can do anything she sets her mind to…. because “can’t” is not a word in her vocabulary. This part of her character must come from her mother who was handicapped herself. She too was an incredible woman and a great example in Fiona’s life. The book made me laugh and it made me cry but most of all it made me THINK….Fiona Page is truly a very special person. (pamaiken from Amazon.com)

I loved this book (My Nightlife Is 24/7), from the first page to the last. This book is about the love and faith of God and finding your inter strength. I could not put the book down. This is a true story about a woman whom is not afraid of anything that life throws her because she is on God’s side and she will always be there and she knows that. (Pat B. from Amazon.com)

This book gives the reader a vision of living in darkness and learning to "see" differently. Her writing gives us a sense of her trials, her triumphs and her vulnerability. Her vivid imagery will evoke compassion from her many readers and audience members where she speaks. Her story is touching, evocative, and witty. The sparkle of wit Fiona inherited from her mother shines through. (Paul Azinger, PGA professional golfer, sports announcer and author of Zinger and Cracking the Code: The Winning Ryder Cup Strategy)

Fiona has a story to tell…one that has great power, inspiration, wisdom, honesty, humility, insight and value. (Sharon Simpson Joseph, Esp., author of And How My Spirit Soars)

    Dear Fiona—

You are an amazing, incredible woman! And I enjoyed reading your book so much! Even though it is not a “fit” for my radio show, I want to promote it and support you, so here is my plan: I have already written a 5 star review of your book on amazon.com. It should post within 24 hours. I am also going to post a review on Facebook (I have approximately 2,500 friends) and on Twitter (I have over 24,000 followers). I will hang on to your contact information and pass it along to other radio hosts whose format would be a match for you.

You are an inspiration to the world.

    All my best wishes—

    Maxine Taylor
